Danielle Mone Truitt to Present '3' in Sacramento, Beginning 6/7

Danielle Mone' Truitt will present her One Woman show 3, the first installment of the "Nappy Hair and Other Black Girl Blues" Series. The show will debut at The Artisan Theatre on June 7, 2012 at 8pm and run until June 10, 2012.

Truitt’s One Woman Show, “3” takes a look at the lives of three women connected by friendship and history, while delving into the social and cultural issues rooted in misconceptions of race and beauty. Conceived and performed by Danielle Moné Truitt and written by Anthony D'Juan, "3" is described as capturing "the breakdown, growth and resurgence of female esteem in a powerful and dynamic performance."

Danielle started her professional acting career in Sacramento performing at Regional Theatres such as B Street Theatre, Sacramento Theatre Company and Music Circus. In 2010 she performed the dynamic One Woman Show NEAT at B Street Theatre.

Shortly after her move to Los Angeles, Danielle landed a spot on Tv One’s STAGE BLACK and a tour of the Stage Play BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY, where she had the opportunity to star with Tisha Cambell-Martin, Chante' Moore, Guy Torry, and Dave Hollister.

Truitt made history when she joined the cast of the Academy Award Nominated Animation THE PRINCESS AND THE FROG. As the video reference Princess Tiana, Danielle performed the body movements and facial expressions for the Princess. Ultimately giving Princess Tiana her persona and essence. She was also the voice of Georgia for the film and Nintendo Wii Game.

At present, Danielle is performing 3 and continuing to develop THE NAPPY HAIR AND OTHER BLACK GIRL BLUES SERIES alongside Anthony D’Juan. She is also playing the lead in the feature film STOLEN MOMENTS, and she can currently be seen in the For The Record: Live series at Show At Barre in Los Angeles, CA.

Danielle Mone' Truitt’s “3” will be performed June 7, 2012- June 10, 2012 at The Artisan Theatre (1901 Del Paso Blvd. Sacramento, CA 95815) Thursday, June 7, 2012 at 8pm, Friday, June 8, 2012 at 8pm, Saturday, June 9, 2012 at 2pm and 8pm and Sunday, June 10, 2012 at 8pm.
