​​​​​​​SACRA/PROFANA, San Diego's premiere professional vocal ensemble, has announced the concerts for their 15th Season melding vocal mastery with a social justice ethos. 

Wasatch Theatre Company kicks off its 25th season with THE LARAMIE CYCLE, a combination of two plays titled THE LARAMIE PROJECT and THE LARAMIE PROJECT: TEN YEARS LATER.  Both plays chronicle the assault and murder of Matthew Shepherd in 1998.  The Tectonic Theatre Project visited the town of Laramie where the murder took place to interview townsfolk immediately after the incident and again in 2008.  The reactions are documented in both plays.  

Florida Repertory Theatre's Education program is performing a staged virtual reading of THE LARAMIE PROJECT this Friday, October 23 at 6 PM. It will be broadcast live from their Historic Arcade Theatre Stage. Florida Rep is suggesting donations of $10 for students and $15 for adults to support their Education program.

On October 6, 1998, Matthew Shepherd was tied to a fence post and beaten to an inch of his life. On October 12, 1998, Matthew Shepherd died. A tragedy that was felt around the world, the horrific event planted new seeds for equality and birthed new anti-hate laws in America.
